Johnnie Walker Gold Label The Centenary Blend 18 Year is a blended Scotch whisky in a 1.75L bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. The original Centenary Blend was created by Sir Alexander Walker in 1920 to mark 100 years of the Johnnie Walker brand.
This version blends fifteen single malt and grain whiskies, each at least 18 years old, with Clynelish and Cardhu single malts at the heart of the recipe. It was phased out in 2013 and replaced by Gold Label Reserve.
Buttery grain, dried coconut, ripe pear and apple on the nose, with a wisp of smoke and floral honey. The palate is sweet and gently smoky, with dried apricot and honeycomb. The finish is long and drying, with peppermint and soft smoke.
