Johnnie Walker Green Label is a 15 year old blended malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle. It contains no grain whisky: every component is a single malt aged for at least 15 years.
The blend is built around Talisker, Caol Ila, Cragganmore and Linkwood, matured in American and European oak. It began as Pure Malt, was renamed in 2004, withdrawn in 2012 and returned in 2016 with its recipe unchanged.
The nose brings cut grass and fresh fruit over wood smoke, pepper, deep vanilla and sandalwood. The palate is broad and layered, and the finish is long and lightly smoky, with lingering spice.
