Johnnie Walker Platinum Label 18 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from the Private Blend line, made from single malt and grain whiskies from across Scotland. Every component has been aged for at least 18 years. It was launched in 2011 to replace the original Gold Label 18 Year. The Private Blend name nods to the exclusive blends John Walker & Sons once made as gifts for family, friends and dignitaries. It is bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. The nose is sweet and deep, with maraschino cherries, toffee caramel, vanilla, baked rhubarb crumble and candied almonds.
