This is the 2015 Private Collection from Johnnie Walker & Sons, a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, with a fruit-led character.
The nose offers grilled pineapple, apricot and green apple, then toffee-sprinkled peach and vanilla fudge, with a small but unmistakable trace of smoke. On the palate come baked apple and pear, fresh vanilla, and a hint of sticky caramelised sugar and nectar.
The finish is fairly long.
