Johnnie Walker & Sons Private Collection 2015 Rare Fruit Character (70cl)

This is the 2015 Private Collection from Johnnie Walker & Sons, a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle. The edition is titled Rare Fruit Character. The nose combines grilled pineapple, apricot and green apple with toffee-covered peach and vanilla fudge, plus a small but noticeable touch of smoke. On the palate come baked apple and pear, fresh vanilla, a trace of sticky caramelised sugar and nectar. The finish is fairly long, with stewed fruit and smoke.
