Johnnie Walker The Gold Route is the second release in the Explorers Club Collection, which draws on John Walker's travels around the world in the 1800s to establish markets for his whiskies. This bottle takes its inspiration from the Walker family's journeys through central America, across the Andes and down into Latin America. It is a blend of aged Johnnie Walker whiskies, matured in old American oak casks, in a one litre bottle. The aroma is of fresh banana, sweet vanilla, mango and papaya. On the palate come tropical fruit and spice, balanced by deep, charred peaty notes.
