Johnnie Walker Vault The Couture Blend (70cl, 44.8%)

Johnnie Walker Vault The Couture Blend is a blended Scotch whisky in a 700ml bottle at 44.8% ABV. It closes the Vault's collaboration with Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing, and Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker built it from ten whiskies drawn from the Vault's library, some aged over 40 years as a nod to Rousteing's 40th birthday. The blend includes grain whisky from the closed Port Dundas and Caledonian distilleries, Islay malt from Port Ellen, and malts from Benrinnes, Cragganmore and Teaninich. It comes in a Baccarat crystal decanter designed by Rousteing, and 1,500 numbered decanters were made. The nose offers mango, pineapple, papaya, honeyed vanilla, dark chocolate and baking spice. On the palate come dried apricot, chocolate, spiced malt and toasted oak, and the finish is long, with gentle peat smoke and warming spice.
