Johnny Drum Private Stock is a straight bourbon made at the Willett distillery in Kentucky. Its recipe combines two mashbills: a high-corn one making up 65% of the blend (72% corn, 13% rye, 15% malted barley) and a low-corn one making up 35% (52% corn, 38% rye, 10% malted barley). The bourbon was first developed by Thompson Willett for a Californian wholesaler, using the distillery's private stocks. It was later released more widely. Corn leads in the flavour, joined by spice from the rye and sweetness from the malted barley.
