José Cuervo Reserva de la Familia Extra Añejo 2014 Collection (75cl, 38%)

Reserva de la Familia is José Cuervo's Extra Añejo tequila, first made in 1995 to mark the 200th anniversary of the company. This is the 2014 Collection, released in 2015 in a presentation box with artwork by the Mexican artist Enrique Rosas. It is aged in oak barrels for an average of three years, and the final blend includes tequila from reserves aged over 30 years. Only the estate's 10-year-old agaves are hand-selected, and only the inner portion of the piña is used. Each bottle is handmade, numbered, dated and sealed in wax. This one was bottled on 14 October 2015 and is number 01178 of around 17,000 produced each year. Full and mellow, with floral, agave, vanilla and Cognac-like flavours.
