José Cuervo Reserva de la Familia was first made in 1995 to mark the 200th anniversary of the company, founded in 1795. This Extra Añejo tequila is the 2025 Collection, released in 2026, with 17,000 bottles produced each year.
It is aged in oak barrels for an average of three years, and the blend includes tequila from reserves aged over thirty years. Only the estate's ten-year-old agaves are used, and only the inner heart of the piña. Each bottle is handmade, numbered, dated and sealed in wax, and this edition has a box with artwork by Alejandra Venegas.
The flavour is vibrant yet mellow, with floral and agave notes, vanilla and a Cognac-like character.
