José Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is an extra añejo tequila first produced in 1995 to mark the 200th anniversary of the company's founding. Each bottle is handmade, numbered, dated and sealed in wax, and this 2021 edition comes in a presentation box with artwork by Jorge Pardo.
The tequila is aged in oak barrels for an average of 3 years, and the final blend includes reserves aged over 30 years. Only the estate's 10-year-old agaves are used, and only the inner part of the piña.
It is full and mellow, with floral, agave, vanilla and Cognac-like flavours.
