José Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is an extra añejo tequila first made in 1995 to mark the 200th anniversary of the house, which was established in 1795. This bottle was released in 2019 in a presentation box with artwork by Jorge Pardo.
The tequila is aged in oak barrels for an average of three years, and the final blend includes reserves aged for over 30 years. It is made only from the estate's 10-year-old agaves, hand-selected, using just the inner part of the piña.
The flavour is vibrant, full and mellow, combining floral and agave notes with vanilla and a Cognac-like character.
