Journeyman Last Feather Rye (75cl, 45%)

Journeyman Last Feather Rye is a certified organic American rye whiskey from Three Oaks, Michigan, bottled at 45% in a 750ml bottle. The mashbill is 60% organic rye and 40% organic wheat, certified by the Midwest Organic Services Association. It is single-distilled in a 5,000-litre copper pot still imported from Germany. A wheat share this high is rare among rye whiskeys and gives a rounder, gentler texture. The nose has ripe banana, caramel, mint, pine and vanilla, with matcha and green almond beneath. The palate is dry and earthy, with roasted peanut, coffee, cocoa, cola and black pepper, then green apple, pear and honey. The finish is long and warming, with nutmeg, allspice and cinnamon.
