Jura – 10 Year Old (75cl, 40%)

Jura 10 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Jura in the Inner Hebrides, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It is the entry point to the distillery's relaunched core range. The whisky was matured for ten years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez. The result is a copper-gold malt that sets subtle smoke against a sweet sherry finish. The nose is described as vanilla, orange, cracked black pepper and dark chocolate. On the palate come nectarines, ginger, coffee and toasted almonds, rich, sweet and smooth, with the sherry finish rounding off the island smoke.
