Jura 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Jura Distillery, bottled at 40% in a 750ml bottle. It is matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
The spirit is distilled on a remote Inner Hebridean island in some of Scotland's tallest copper pot stills. It is light and fruity, and the years in ex-bourbon and sherry wood add honeyed depth, with only a whisper of island smoke.
The nose has peach, bright citrus and lightly toasted walnut with honeyed malt. The palate is rich and rounded, with milk chocolate, brown sugar and dried fruit over soft malt. The finish is smooth and lingering, gently sweet.
