Jura 12 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Jura, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky spends its first ten years in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then is finished for two years in Oloroso sherry casks.
Honey, soft spices and dark chocolate come first on the nose, with a wisp of smoke. The palate brings creamy toffee, tropical fruit and roasted coffee with light maritime notes. The finish is long and warming, slightly smoky, with a sweet sherry influence.
