Jura 12 Year is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Jura, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It matures in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, then is finished in Oloroso sherry casks, which add dried fruit and baking spice. The stills stand 28 feet tall, which gives a lighter spirit.
Honey, roasted coffee, citrus peel and gentle smoke show on the nose. Toffee and ripe peach lead the palate, with cinnamon, dark chocolate and delicate peat. The finish is moderate, with salted caramel, soft sherry sweetness and burnt orange peel.
