This Jura 16 Year Old is an independent single cask bottling from Signatory Vintage, bottled at a natural cask strength of 54.4% ABV. It was distilled on 15th April 2009 and bottled on 22nd May 2025, and is natural in colour and non-chill filtered.
After 16 years of maturation, the whisky was finished in a first fill Oloroso sherry butt, cask 16, which yielded 677 bottles.
The nose combines dried fruits, raisins, plum compote and orange peel with waxy oils, sweet tobacco and a hint of maritime character. The palate is full-bodied, with roasted nuts, dark chocolate, candied citrus, oak spice and an oily texture. The finish is long and warming, with sherry richness, gentle salinity and spicy oak.
