Jura 18 Year Old is a single malt from the Isle of Jura, Scotland, in a 75cl bottle at 44% ABV.
It is matured in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and then finished in Premier Grand Cru Classe Bordeaux red wine casks. The finish gives the malt a rosewood colour and a rich, fruity depth over Jura's gentle smoke.
The nose is bold red fruits, toffee, creme anglaise and cinnamon. On the palate come warm spice, rich black forest fruit and cooked raspberries and strawberries, with a hint of chocolate.
