Jura 1973 30 Year Old Single Cask #3155 is a single malt from the Isle of Jura, distilled on 10th November 1973 and bottled at a cask strength of 55% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It matured for three decades in an Oloroso sherry cask from the Gonzalez Byass bodega in Jerez, and yielded 468 bottles.
The nose is rich, with old leather, cigar box, dark dried fruits, toffee and a little camphor. The palate brings rum-soaked raisins, Seville orange marmalade, nutmeg and ginger, with a coastal saltiness. The finish is long, dry and resinous, with dark chocolate, oak tannins, walnuts and salty liquorice.
