Jura Seven Wood is a single malt from the Isle of Jura, in a 75cl bottle at 42% ABV and without an age statement.
The name is meant literally. The malt is shaped by seven oaks: first-fill ex-bourbon American white oak, together with six French oaks from the forests of Vosges, Bertranges, Jupilles, Allier, Troncais and Limousin.
The notes describe coffee, ginger spice and a hint of chocolate on the nose. The palate brings creme caramel, baked peach, sweet liquorice and candied orange, and the finish carries fruit, spice and a hint of smoke.
