Jura Seven Wood is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Jura Distillery, bottled at 42% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It matures first in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, then is split across six types of virgin French oak from Limousin, Tronçais, Allier, Vosges, Jupilles and Les Bertranges, before the seven wood influences are married together.
The nose offers dried apricot, baked peach, ginger and roasted coffee, with a wisp of peat smoke. The palate has crème caramel, liquorice, candied orange peel and a gentle salinity. The finish is medium, warm and slightly smoky, with dried date and sweet spice.
