K Vintners Royal City Syrah

A Syrah from K Vintners, bottled under the House of Smith brand. It shows an intense, direct aromatic profile with black fruit, black pepper, light floral hints and an earthy undertone. The palate is rich with medium-high structure, present but well-integrated tannins and freshness that supports the finish. Mature fruit is concentrated without excess, giving an immediate but not simple wine. It pairs easily with meat dishes, roasts, game in uncomplicated preparations and aged cheeses, and suits barbecues and savoury Mediterranean cooking. Serve around 16-18 C; a short decant can soften the more exuberant profiles and open the aromas, though it is also enjoyable poured straight away.
