Kaiyo 10 Years The Unicorn is a Japanese malt whisky from Osaka, released in Kaiyo's Wood Library Series in an edition of 2,460 bottles. Its ten years combine roughly five years in Mizunara oak, including three months of maturation at sea in Mizunara casks, with five years in old bourbon barrels. It is bottled at 46% and un-chillfiltered. Expect sandalwood, white flowers, coconut and charred oak on the nose. The palate brings creamy vanilla, toasted almond, light citrus and bourbon sweetness. The finish is long, elegant and warm, with lingering Mizunara spice and dried fruits.
