Kaiyō 'The Rubi' is a Japanese whisky matured in Mizunara oak barrels, bottled at 46% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The Mizunara oak is what gives this whisky its character, and the makers recommend taking it neat or with a single ice cube. The nose is usually described as fragrant sandalwood and spice, while the palate brings dried fruit, vanilla and oak.
