Kaltererersee Alto Adige DOC from Tramin is a red wine from the Kalterersee area. It shows a moderate ruby colour, with mature red fruit, undergrowth and light spice on the nose. The palate has soft tannins and a savoury texture, with cherry and plum returns and an earthy note on the finish. Serve around 16-18 °C with local dishes such as cured meats, white meats, rustic soups and semi-aged cheeses.
