Kaltern Lagrein Alto Adige DOC

A red wine from Alto Adige made from Lagrein, an indigenous grape of the region. It is intense, almost violet red. The nose shows blackberries and raspberries, with chocolate, liquorice and a touch of vanilla from barrique ageing. On the palate it has solid, well-balanced structure, acidity harmoniously intertwined with soft tannins, a pleasant drinkability and persistent finish, with mature fruit, tobacco and leather. It pairs with red meats, game, mushroom dishes and aged cheeses.
