Kanosuke – Hioki Pot Still Japanese Whisky (70cl, 51%)

Kanosuke Hioki Pot Still is a Japanese whisky from the Komasa Kanosuke Distillery in Kagoshima, bottled at 51% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled at Hioki, the distillery's parent company, from malted and unmalted barley, then matured on the sandy shore in new American white oak casks and bourbon barrels. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. It is described as strong yet soft, with baked pastry notes alongside citrus fruit, vanilla and spice, and it won gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2024.
