Kapahi is a bourbon from Kauai Distilling Company, made with Hawaii-grown corn alongside rye and barley. The spirit is twice distilled and matured for five years in new charred American oak, then finished in Washington. It is an unblended bourbon, bottled at 46.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The nose is typically described as vanilla, caramel, toasted oak and light baking spice. The palate brings brown sugar, honey, roasted nuts and gentle rye spice, leading to a long, warming finish of oak, vanilla and soft caramel sweetness.
