This is a single-cask Karuizawa distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2012 after 28 years, at a natural cask strength of 64.5%. Only 275 bottles were drawn from cask #4021, a first-fill sherry cask.
It was bottled by Number One Drinks as part of the Carpe Koi series. Karuizawa is a Japanese distillery that closed in 2000 and has since been demolished, so the cask carries the sherry influence of a distillery that no longer operates.
