A cask strength Japanese single malt from Karuizawa, the sixth release in the Fugaku Sanjurokkei series. The series takes its name from Hokusai's thirty-six views of Mount Fuji, and each label shows the mountain from a different place in different weather.
This is a multi-vintage vatting of whisky from 1999 and 2000, the last two years of production at Karuizawa before it closed. It was matured in European oak sherry casks and bottled in 2016 by Number One Drinks at 59.7% ABV, without added colour or chill filtration. It was a limited edition made for Japan.
