This is a Taiwanese single malt from Kavalan, distilled in 2009 and aged for 15 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask. It is bottled at a cask strength of 54.8%. The bottling marks the 15th anniversary of Kavalan's Solist Series of single cask expressions, and it is a limited edition. The whisky has a dark amber colour. The nose is typically described as dried figs, dark chocolate, roasted nuts and warm baking spices. On the palate come ripe dates, toffee, cinnamon and espresso, with oak and a velvety texture. The finish is long and warming, with lingering dark fruit and spice.
