Kavalan – Amontillado Sherry

This Kavalan is a Taiwanese whisky linked to Amontillado sherry casks. Amontillado is a dry sherry, darker than Fino but lighter than Oloroso. It matures under a cap of flor and is then exposed to the air, which brings further oxidation once the flor is lost. Toasted almond and hazelnut are the classic aromas of Amontillado casks.
