Kavalan Classic is the core-range single malt from Kavalan Distillery in Yilan County, Taiwan, bottled at 40% ABV without an age statement. It matures in a mix of ex-bourbon, sherry, wine and refill casks.
The nose is floral, with orchid blossom, mango, pineapple, vanilla and honey. On the palate, juicy tropical fruit meets honeyed sweetness, creamy vanilla and gentle oak spice. The finish is medium to long, with citrus and tropical echoes, a gentle dryness and a slightly peppery edge.
