Kavalan – Concertmaster (75cl)

Kavalan Concertmaster is a Taiwanese single malt from the Kavalan distillery in Yilan County, in a 75cl bottle. It was first aged in ex-bourbon American oak, then finished in Portuguese ruby, tawny and vintage port casks, which give it a dark ruby colour. It won a Silver Medal and "Best in Class" at the 2011 International Wine & Spirits Competition. The nose is typically described as berries, tropical fruit, tobacco and mint. On the palate come tart fruit, grape, orange, honey, almond and nuts, leading to a well-balanced, bold finish.
