Kavalan – Distillery Select (43%)

Kavalan Distillery Select is a single malt from Yilan County, Taiwan, bottled at 43% ABV. Also known as Expression No.1, it is aged in a selection of refill casks, which lets the distillery's fruity character come through without heavy oak influence. Kavalan relies on high humidity and pure meltwater from Snow Mountain to speed maturation. The nose offers ripe tropical fruit, floral notes and warm vanilla. On the palate come butterscotch, toffee and vanilla alongside sweet fruit, and the finish is long, smooth and creamy.
