Kavalan Solist Ex-Bourbon Cask is a single cask whisky from the Kavalan distillery in Yilan, Taiwan, bottled at a cask strength of 51.6% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in American white oak (Quercus alba) ex-bourbon casks and is limited to 160 bottles. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
Each bottle in the Solist series carries a serial number.
The whisky is described as golden in colour, with a pure, fresh nose of tropical fruit, coconut, vanilla and smoky wood. The palate is naturally sweet, with vanilla and oak, and a soft, silky texture.
