Kavalan – Solist Moscatel Sherry Cask Strength Single Malt Taiwanese Whisky (75cl, 57.1%)

Kavalan Solist Moscatel is a Taiwanese single malt matured in Moscatel sherry casks and bottled at a cask strength of 57.1%, in a 75cl bottle. Kavalan attributes the maturation to the meeting of Moscatel casks, its own new make and the subtropical heat of Taiwan. The whisky is a deep ruby colour. The palate is described as complex and balanced, with dry fruit and nutty flavours, a silky, buttery texture and chocolate notes. Fruit jam on brownie cake, floral notes, honey, toffee and caramel are also mentioned.
