Kavalan – Solist Peaty Cask (70cl)

Kavalan Solist Peaty Cask is a single malt whisky from Taiwan, bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle. It is aged in casks that previously held heavily peated whisky. The spirit itself is unpeated, so its smokiness comes entirely from the casks, set alongside Kavalan's tropical fruitiness. The nose combines subtle peat smoke with sweet tropical fruit, warm vanilla and soft oak. The palate is rich and full, with creamy mango, citrus oils, honeyed malt and a clean thread of peat. The finish is long, warming and gently smoky, with lingering fruit sweetness and oak.
