Kavalan – Solist Pedro Ximenez Sherry 2011 (70cl, 58.6%)

Kavalan Solist Pedro Ximenez Sherry is a single cask single malt from the Kavalan distillery in Yilan, Taiwan, bottled at a cask strength of 58.6% in a 70cl bottle. The outturn is 529 bottles. It matured in a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask, which gives it a sweeter character. The Solist range is made up of casks chosen by the master blenders. The nose has rosemary, sweet citrus, toffee, lemongrass and restrained oak. On the palate it is fruity, warm and velvety, with PX sherry notes of raisins and honey. The finish is long.
