Kavalan – Solist Port Cask 2013/2022 (70cl, 58.6%)

Kavalan Solist Port Cask is a Taiwanese single malt from the distillery's Solist series, in a 70cl bottle at 58.6% ABV. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2022. The whisky was matured in a port cask, and Taiwan's warm climate is said to give it a pronounced cask character and a concentrated aroma. The nose is typically described as red berries, plums, raisins, vanilla and spiced oak. On the palate it is powerful and fruity, with dark berries, dried fruit, caramel, spice and wood. The finish is long and warming, with fruit sweetness, spice and dry oak.
