This is the 2022 Travel Edition of Kavalan Solist Port Cask, a single cask whisky bottled at 57.8% ABV in a 1 litre bottle.
It was matured fully in Portuguese Port barriques in Taiwan's subtropical climate. The cask brings fruit flavours of plum, blueberry, blackberry and strawberry, with chocolate as the main background note. The colour is a deep ruby.
Tasting notes describe rich fruit and nuts lifted by orange and citrus, with gentle wood spice from American oak. The palate has a satisfying fruitiness with chocolate that melts gently, and the aftertaste is long.
