Kentucky Owl Confiscated Straight Bourbon Whiskey (75cl, 48.2%)

Kentucky Owl Confiscated is a small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon, bottled at 48.2% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is a blend of Kentucky-distilled bourbons with an oak-forward character. The name recalls the eve of Prohibition, when the government seized the bourbon stocks of C.M. Dedman, great-great-grandfather of master blender Dixon Dedman. Those barrels were never seen again, and this bottling is a tribute to that lost whiskey. The nose brings gardenia, honeysuckle, orange, vanilla wafers, banana bread and red apple. On the palate are graham crackers, toffee, citrus and muted cinnamon, and the medium-long finish has seasoned oak, white grape and a hint of cayenne.
