Kessler American Blended Whiskey (175cl, 40%)

Kessler is an American blended whiskey from Kentucky, bottled at 40% in a 1.75 litre bottle. It traces back to Julius Kessler, who built a whiskey business in the late 1800s, and is now produced by Beam Suntory. The blend is about 27.5% straight whiskey, aged at least two years, with 72.5% grain neutral spirits. The nose has baked apple, baking spice, soft caramel and a little vanilla. The palate is light and smooth, with caramel, a nutty, slightly honeyed note and gentle oak. The finish is medium, with grainy sweetness, light oak and warm spice.
