Kessler is an American blended whiskey made in Kentucky by Beam Suntory, in a 750ml bottle at 40% ABV. The brand goes back to founder Julius Kessler, whose portrait and signature appear on every bottle.
The blend uses about 27.5% straight whiskey with grain neutral spirit, which gives it a lighter body.
The nose has baked apple, caramel, grainy corn sweetness and light baking spice. The palate is soft and nutty, with caramel and corn, then oak and vanilla. The finish is medium, with grainy sweetness and faint toasted oak.
