Kilchoman 100% Islay 6th Edition is an Islay single malt made from barley grown at the Kilchoman distillery itself, then distilled and matured on site. It was bottled in 2016 at 50% ABV and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in fresh and refill ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels, and it has lower peat levels.
The nose brings apricot, candied orange zest and a little rosemary. Honeyed barley, fig and dark chocolate lead the palate, and the long finish carries spiced vanilla and lingering embers.
