Kilchoman – 100% Islay 7th Edition (70cl, 50%)

This is the seventh 100% Islay release from Kilchoman, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The barley was grown, malted, distilled, matured and bottled at the distillery on Islay. The whisky spent over seven years in a combination of fresh and refill bourbon barrels. The nose is vanilla with light zesty fruit and malty notes. On the palate there is fresh citrus and intense butterscotch with light smoke, leading to a clean, long finish in which peat smoke and sweetness are well integrated.
