Kilchoman 100% Islay Feis Ile 2021 is the distillery's single malt for that year's Islay festival, limited to 2,832 bottles and bottled at a cask strength of 56.3% in a 70cl bottle.
It was drawn from six ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels and two Oloroso sherry butts. The barley, Optic and Publican, came from a single Islay farm.
Fresh citrus, Swedish berries and subtle peat lead the nose. Creamy vanilla, red licorice and maritime salt follow on the palate, and the finish has lingering plum and delicate smokiness.
