Kilchoman – 100% Islay Inaugural Release

This is the inaugural 100% Islay release from Kilchoman, a single farm single malt made on the island of Islay. Kilchoman opened in 2005 and was the first new distillery built on Islay in 124 years. The Wills family owns it, and it revived farm distilling on the island, with its own barley fields, malt floors and kilns. Around a quarter of its barley now comes from its own land. The distillery's first release came in 2009, and it bottled its first 100% Islay single malt in 2011.
