Kilchoman 100% Islay Limited Edition 14 is a single malt from Islay in which every stage, from growing the barley to distilling and maturing the spirit, takes place on the island. The barley comes from the 2013 and 2014 harvests and is grown on the distillery's own fields.
The whisky matured in a selection of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks and is bottled at 50% ABV, without chill-filtration or added colour.
Sweet vanilla, butterscotch and ripe fruit lead the nose. A subtle citrus note on the palate sits alongside floral peat smoke, and the long finish carries a touch of spice and oak.
